Pavarotti planning wedding before year's end

Luciano Pavarotti says he will get married soon, possibly by the end of the year.

The famed tenor announced plans to marry his companion Nicoletta Mantovani during a taping of CNN’s Larry King Live TV chat show this week.

Pavarotti, 67, told King that he would have a small service “very probably” before the end of the year.

Mantovani, who is in her early 30s, has been living with Pavarotti since 1996. She is the mother of his youngest child, Alice.

Pavarotti has three children from his marriage to Adua Veroni.
