The voice that captivated millions of fans across the globe boomed out around an Italian piazza today in final tribute to legendary tenor Luciano Pavarotti.

LUCIANO Pavarotti’s vibrant high C notes and ebullient showmanship made him the most beloved and celebrated tenor since Caruso and one of the few opera singers to win crossover fame as a popular superstar.

Luciano Pavarotti married his long-time partner and producer Nicoletta Mantovani today in a song-filled, celebrity-studded ceremony held in the main theatre of the tenor’s hometown, Modena.

Luciano Pavarotti says he will get married soon, possibly by the end of the year.
