Izzard goes back to school for lesson

Cross-dressing comedian Eddie Izzard recently returned to his old school, Eastbourne College, to discuss recording his new stage show, Sexie, there.

“I’m going to record it in the very same theatre where I sat watching ’The Sound Of Music thinking, ’Why can’t I be in this play?’ he told the Los Angeles Times.

“I went back there wearing a skirt and makeup and they were OK with it because I’d reached a certain level of profile in the UK, so I was this famous twit coming back.

“I wasn’t the sad transvestite, I was the successful transvestite, which is where, I think, you’ve got to be.”
