Zeta Jones and Day-Lewis lead awards charge
Catherine Zeta Jones and Daniel Day-Lewis are leading hopes in the latest round of prestigious Hollywood movie honours.
The stars have been nominated for the 9th annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards, which are voted for solely by actors and handed out on March 9, shortly before the Oscars.
Zeta Jones is nominated in the best supporting actress category for her role in Chicago.
She faces competition from her film co-star Queen Latifah, Kathy Bates (About Schmidt), Julianne Moore (The Hours) and Michelle Pfeiffer (White Oleander).
Day-Lewis is up for a best actor award for his villainous turn in Martin Scorsese's epic Gangs of New York.
