Robbie Williams adds an extra date to tour

Robbie Williams has added a third date at Knebworth Park after a huge rush on tickets.

The chart star sold out his two planned summer weekend dates in just seven and a half hours when the £35 tickets went on sale yesterday morning.

Williams, 28, is playing the prestigious outdoor venue on August 2 and 3, with an extra date now added for the day before.

Other acts who have performed at the country estate have included the Rolling Stones, Elton John and The Who.

A spokeswoman for the singer said today: "It's totally unprecedented to put on a third date at Knebworth. The tickets have sold even faster than we expected."

Williams also plays Murrayfield in Edinburgh during his European tour in the summer of 2003, as well as Phoenix Park in Dublin.
