Cancer-battle star returns to EastEnders
EastEnders star Wendy Richard has returned to work as she battles cancer.
A spokeswoman for the BBC says Richard started filming again at the end of October and Pauline Fowler will be back on air by the end of the year.
Her agent, Derek Webster, said she is filming during the mornings and having treatment in the afternoons.
The BBC spokeswoman was unable to confirm this. "All we can say is that she's back on set," she added.
Mr Webster said: "She feels very weak but her decision to return to work shows what a positive attitude Wendy is taking."
The 56-year-old was diagnosed with breast cancer six years ago and then recently discovered a lump in her neck.
Mr Webster said there was no specific date for her to return to work full time.
"We're just taking it one day at a time," he said.
