Pop idol loser signs up with pepsi

Pop Idol loser Gareth Gates today joined the likes of superstar Britney Spears by signing a deal with drinks giant Pepsi.

The 17-year-old follows in the footsteps of pop greats Michael Jackson and Madonna and the deal will earn him a six-figure sum.
