Pamela Anderson: I want to become a stripper
Pamela Anderson today revealed she wants to quit acting - to become a stripper touring with boyfriend Kid Rock’s band.
The former Baywatch star, said she wants to spend more time with her two children - their father is her former husband Motley Crew drummer Tommy Lee - and her new boyfriend.
Her acting roles since Baywatch have included the 1996 film flop Barb Wire and a US television series called VIP, in which she played a beautiful bodyguard.
The 34-year-old told American television programme Extra: ‘‘I want to retire pretty soon and just be a full-time mum.
‘‘I really want to stop everything and be with my kids. I crave being with them.
‘‘I have had a lot of craziness and it is just time to simplify.’’
But she said she did not plan to retire immediately and revealed her plans to work with Kid Rock, with whom she started a relationship last year after her split from Lee, the father of her two children.
‘‘Within a couple of years, I am just going to bow out,’’ he said.
‘‘I have a stripper pole in my bedroom. I was thinking that I would just take pole-dancing lessons and go on the road with Kid Rock.’’
Anderson said she was ‘‘very in love’’ with Kid Rock, himself a father.
‘‘He is the best person I have ever met,’’ he said.
‘‘He’s got the whole thing. He’s the rock star, father, lover, sweetheart.’’
And she admitted she does not really think of herself as an actress.
‘‘I have really been able to make a career for myself, but I do not consider myself an actress,’’ she said.
‘‘I created an image, I created a brand, I think, out of myself. It is a business and it’s fun.
‘‘It really is who I am. I am not acting any different than I normally would.’’
