YouTube TV launches in US

YouTube TV has launched in five cities in the US: New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Philadelphia, as revealed in a post on the official YouTube blog.

The recently announced YouTube TV is a new $35 monthly service providing live streams of 39 American broadcast networks including CBS, NBC, Fox, ESPN and FX, plus the various networks’ on-demand film libraries.

Google plans to add another 10 networks in the near future including BBC America, AMC and IFC, and is likely to expand the number of cities where the service is available.
