WATCH: Emotional reunion in Knock for couple apart for 29 years

Star-crossed lovers Marie Simpson, from Milltown, Galway, and Englishman Michael Brown were hoping to get engaged and get married 29 years ago. Unfortunately, the wedding didn't go ahead and the couple lost touch over the years.

They recently reconnected online and immediately hit it off again, chatting to each other regularly. After almost three decades apart, Michael embarked on his first visit to Ireland last Friday, and the couple reunited at Ireland West Airport Knock.

Love was truly in the air as the pair embraced, before leaving the airport arm-in-arm. The staff at the airport captured the lovely moment they saw each other again on camera.
