WATCH: Drone footage highlights the damage done by the fire at Vernon Mount House

A new video has shown the damage done to Vernon Mount House, which was recently gutted in a fire leaving Cork's unique architectural gem in ruin.

Eoin English and Sean O’Riordan report today that one of Ireland’s finest Georgian villas could now face demolition.

This video, sent to us by Evan Shelly Visuals, shows how bad the damage is and how the inside of the building has been eaten away by the flames.

The drone footage is almost haunting, highlighting the destruction of what was once a fine part of Cork's rich heritage.
