VIDEO: Clare kayakers take on river rapids during Storm Desmond

There have been many videos doing the rounds of the damage Storm Desmond has done.

But these people from Ennistymon in County Clare decided to take advantage of the roads being closed by kayaking down the river.

The video was captured by Clare TD Timmy Dooley who was recording a video of the rapids when he noticed the kayakers coming down the river.

While it looks like it was great fun, we hope they were careful and had safety precautions in place. We have already seen the damage Storm Desmond has done around the country.
