Larry’s enthusiasm has finally been curbed

It seems fans of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm will have no final series to look forward to as Larry David has moved to dampen expectations that season nine will ever be made.

Larry’s enthusiasm has finally been curbed

The Seinfeld co-creator received almost universal critical acclaim for the comedy which depicted a fictionalised version of himself and his life in the years following the final episode of the long-running sitcom.

David is now writing and performing on Broadway and in an interview with radio presenter Howard Stern he said: "HBO knows the odds are against it. I’m not ruling it out. I mean, it’s been a while. I don’t want to go back to the show and look 10 years older than I did in the last episode".

Guest stars on the show which first aired in 2000 included Ricky Gervais, Steve Coogan, David Schwimmer and Ben Stiller.

The former Saturday Night Live writer completely ruled out the possibility of a one-off farewell episode but he did say that a movie was a possibility.

Here's hoping that could happen but if not, Curb's legacy will be to leave us with numerous examples of how we should act in social situations - as evidenced by the following clip.
