Le Brocquy’s Sick Tinker Child on sale

A MAJOR painting from le Brocquy’s celebrated Tinker series will lead the 23 Irish works at Sotheby’s sale of British and Irish art in London on December 10. 

Estimated at £200,000-£300,000, Sick Tinker Child is the second largest of the series and was painted in the 1940s.

Travelling Woman with Newspaper sold for £1.15 million at Sotheby’s in 2000. An exhibition of the Irish artworks in the sale will take place at Sotheby’s Irish office at Molesworth St. in Dublin from November 28-30.
