Meanwhile, a total of 20 ceramic pieces from the Alfred Beit Foundation come up at Sotheby’s, in London next Wednesday, Nov 6.
Surplus to the main collection, they are being by Des O’Sullivan
sold to secure the long-term future of Russborough House, in Co Wicklow.
The ceramics, which have been in storage for years, will be sold in 14 lots, estimated at £300,000-350,000.
They were assembled by Sir Alfred Beit (1903-1994) and purchased through Chinese-art dealer, John Sparks, in the 1950s.
