Dear Dáithí: A relative left our parents' lovely holiday home in an awful state

It looks like my uncle let a son of one of his golfing buddies use my parent's holiday villa. How should we sort this?

'Should we ask my uncle to confirm if he handed over the keys to a lovely villa to some louts who don’t know how to use a mop or washing machine?

My parents have a villa in the Canaries, and are very generous to all our family with it. They give us a week each there every year and sometimes an option of another off-season week.
