Edel Coffey: Becoming a mother made me more focused

While most mothers can’t relate to being popstars, it’s likely many can relate to the career-blitzing effects of motherhood.

Last week, the former singer and now award-winning actor Lily Allen made a throwaway remark about how her children had “ruined” her career as a popstar. “I love them and they complete me, but in terms of pop stardom, they totally ruined it,” she told the Radio Times. 

While most mothers can’t relate to being popstars, it’s likely many can relate to the career-blitzing effects of motherhood.
