Hundreds of women in silent protest outside Garda station

Hundreds of women staged a silent vigil outside Coolock Garda Station last night. 

A crowd of 200 gathered to protest against alleged Garda brutality at recent water charges protests.

The women, all clad in high-vis jackets, lined the Oscar Traynor Road.

Youtube footage shows cars supporting the vigil by beeping as they pass, gardaí standing nearby to monitor the scene.
