Irish clean-label snack brand BiaSol has been selected as a snack for the competitor area at Wimbledon Open 2026.

Co-founder of the snack brand, Ruairi Dooley, announced the “big milestone” on LinkedIn on Wednesday.

The snacks, which are crafted from upcycled grains to deliver high fibre, great taste, and measurable impact, are the creation of Dooley and his sister Niamh.

The pair’s brand will now be helping fuel some of the world’s best athletes in London over the coming weeks.

Announcing the news, Dooley described it as “a proud moment” for the entire BiaSol team.

“We are proud to share that BiaSol Oat Bites have been selected as a snack for the competitor area at Wimbledon Open 2026,” he wrote.

“Our full range of Oat Bites will be helping fuel some of the world’s best athletes in London over the coming weeks. The range was selected for its combination of great taste, strong nutritional profile and alignment with Wimbledon’s sustainability values.

“From day one, our goal has been to create snacks that are clean-label, high-fibre and genuinely enjoyable to eat, while also tackling food waste through upcycled ingredients.

“Huge credit to the entire BiaSol team for making this happen. Seeing a small Irish brand reach a stage like this is a proud moment for all of us.”

Inspired by the rapid growth of craft brewing across Ireland, the siblings discovered their first ingredient in 2020: brewers’ spent grains, and from there, BiaSol was born as a way to combat food waste, improve nutrition and bring their family closer together.

Living on opposite sides of the world, the siblings wanted to stay connected while working on a cause close to their hearts.

The result was a sibling founding team whose mission was to upcycle the leftover grain from Irish craft breweries to create their range of malt-tasting food products, including their oat bites and granola.

The pair’s dedication to the brand ever since has earned national recognition, including awards such as Best Food and Drink Startup 2023, RDS Rural Innovation Award 2023, Irish Business Design Challenge Winner 2024, Blas na hÉireann Awards in 2022, 2023, 2024 and the Great Taste Award 2024.

The brand has also secured listings in Tesco, Aldi and Holland & Barrett, and has rescued 450 tonnes of barley from Irish breweries, transforming waste into value.

The 2026 Wimbledon Championships will take place from June 29 to July 12 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon in London.
