A quality 55-acre Kildare farm with some built-in opportunity is due for public auction on Wednesday 23rd of September at the Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge.
The holding will be presented in lots and will be sold jointly by Newbridge-based Jordan Auctioneers and Leinster Marts.
“It’s an excellent opportunity to acquire a quality agricultural holding in one of County Kildare’s most sought-after farming districts,” says joint selling agent Clive Kavanagh of Jordan Auctioneers. “The property is at Thomastown, Kilcullen. It’s an executor sale, presenting an opportunity for farmers wishing to expand or investors seeking a quality landholding or indeed any purchasers looking for a property with future potential.”

The farm will be offered in the following lots:
Lot 1(50.5 acres including derelict cottage and farm buildings), guiding €500,000; Lot 2 (4.5 acres of land, guiding €70,000; Lot 3, the entire holding guiding €570,000 (€10,400/acre).
The lands are all in permanent pasture, divided into easily managed fields. The traditional cottage in a derelict condition offers clear opportunities while the outbuildings offer more again. These include a three-span haybarn with a lean-to and a number of ancillary farm buildings.
“Situated in the heart of one of Ireland’s premier agricultural and bloodstock regions, the property enjoys all the advantages of a renowned farming location, while benefitting from excellent transport links and accessibility,” adds Clive
