50ac Tempting Tipperary holding priced at €11k/acre

Offering 50 acres of good quality land in South Tipperary, a holding that’s new to the market with Thurles-based auctioneer Nicholas Maher should not be short of suitors.

The property in question is at Rathroe, immediately to the east of the village of Killenaule, Co. Tipperary and approximately 20km from Thurles. The nearest junction of the M8 is 13km from the property, making it a very accessible piece of land.

“There are about 4-5 acres of slate quarry on it but the rest of it is good quality grassland,” says Nicholas. “There are some sheds on the land as well and it’s not overly priced at €550,000 (€11,000/acre).”

There has been good interest so far, according to Nicholas, with much of from the locality and outside of the county borders – in Waterford and Cork.

“It’s a nice piece of land and there’s very good roadside access on it,” adds Nicholas.

In this part of the world, an opportunity to acquire good quality acreage in substantial quantity and at a reasonable price is one that only comes along rarely. There should, therefore, be plenty of bidders over the coming weeks.
