Kilkenny farm sells for €850,000 at lively auction

Holding made €15,000 per acre, exceeding the pre-auction guide of €12,000-€13,000/acre

The successful purchaser was from outside the area, auctioneer said.

A 57-acre farm featured here on February 16 was sold at auction on Friday, February 27, at the Clubhouse Hotel, Kilkenny.

The property was at Muckalee, Ballyfoyle, 7km south of Castlecomer and 12km north of Kilkenny City.
