Coming up for auction on Friday, March 20, is a 40-acre piece of Wexford land that will surely bring some interested bidders, offering opportunity for a wide variety of prospective purchasers.
The auction takes place at the Horse & Hound Hotel at Ballinaboola, just off the N25 east of New Ross. The lands are at Grange, Campile — within 4km of Campile village and near the ancestral home of John F. Kennedy.
The farm will be offered in the following lots:
- Lot 1 (14.6 acres, currently in stubble);
- Lot 2 (24 acres currently in stubble and permanent pasture);

With the house likely to qualify for grant aid, there should be strong interest in it.
Similar to the other two lots, it enjoys excellent road frontage.
According to selling agent Anne Carton, interest has been promising so far, and all will be revealed on the day.

“This executor sale presents a superb opportunity to acquire two attractive parcels of land and the chance to reimagine a traditional farmhouse,” she said.
“It offers a chance to acquire compact parcels suitable for young farmers or existing farming enterprises wishing to expand.”
For Lots 1 and 2, the guide price is €14-16,000/acre. For Lot 3, the pre-auction guide is €80,000.
