It isn’t every day that one gets to buy a bit of Irish cultural and economic history when making a land purchase, so there should be a considerable turnout for the auction of the original Tayto farm in County Meath next week.

The 119-acre holding at Curraghwalls goes under the hammer on Friday, March 28, at the auction rooms of Robert B Daly & Sons on Laurence Street, Drogheda, Co Louth.
