Further 6c/kg drop in Irish pig prices

Pig prices have dropped a further 6c/kg.

There was an announced drop of a further 6c/kg in pig prices on Friday across ROI processors, with producers reporting quotes ranging from €2.28-€2.34.

Factory throughput in Republic of Ireland export plants for the week ending September 1 was 64,665 head, which was 1,122 less than last week and 2,861 more than in the corresponding week in 2023.
