No change to pig prices this week

Throughput for the week ending July 21 was 63,981 - up 2,682 than last week and 2,555 more than in the corresponding week in 2023.

There was no announced change to Irish pig prices on Friday and producers are reporting quotes of at least €2.38-€2.40 available from processors in ROI, with some pig farmers reporting up to €2.45/kg available signalling strong demand for ROI pigs.

Throughput for the week ending July 21 was 63,981, of which 1,843 were sows. The total is up 2,682 than last week and 2,555 more than in the corresponding week in 2023.
