33 acres of 'typical Golden Vale' land for sale
For sale with the Kilmallock office of GVM Auctioneers, a 33-acre non-residential holding is brand new to the market and sure to attract a good deal of attention both locally and from farther afield.
Located in the townland of Raheenamadra, close to the village of Knocklong, south Co Limerick, it’s roughly midway between the market towns of Charleville and Tipperary Town (both approximately 20km away).
The property consists of excellent land typical of the Golden Vale, according to selling agent Richard Ryan: “This is top-class land”, says Richard of the choice holding which, he says, would be suitable for any farming enterprise.
Land in Limerick has been averaging in the region of €8,000-€9,000 per acre.
While it rivals dairy lands in Cork and Tipperary for quality, it doesn’t generally reach quite the price levels of their neighbouring counties.
“There are no farm buildings or residence,” says Richard. “There is a cattle crush and pen on the property.”
As for the price, the agents are guiding it at €10,000 per acre. It’s likely to be a good opportunity for a locally-based farmer to extend their holding with some of the best land at a reasonable price.
“This is naturally good land,” the agent points out. “There’s good deep soil in it.”
The property has adequate road frontage.
There are no entitlements going with the holding, which has a good water supply.
