Farmers welcome new simplified BDGP rules

A simplification of some of the requirements of the Beef Data and Genomics Programme, in relation to the eligibility of stock bulls, has been welcomed by the Irish Farmers’ Association.

Agriculture Minister Michael Creed, who announced the move, said officials from his department have been working closely with their counterparts in the Irish Cattle Breeding Federation on this issue.
