Kerry joins AMBM, improves its buying power
Kerry Agribusiness, a division of Kerry Group plc, has joined the Allied Merchants Buying Association, whose 20 members have a collective buying power of €400m.
AMBA coordinates negotiations and structured purchasing for its members across building materials, timber, plumbing, agri-business, décor, hardware, fuel, garden and homeware sectors.
John Collins, operations manager of Kerry Agribusiness, added: “We recognise the value of being a member of AMBM. We are now working together with like-minded people with a core focus on growing our competitive position.”
Kerry Agribusiness works with 3,200 milk suppliers in the south-west of Ireland, assembling 1.1 billion litres of milk annually. They also operate a mill in Farranfore, Co Kerry, producing compound feed for dairy and beef animals to complement their grass-based systems. It has 32 farm stores.

Kerry Agribusiness joins other agri co-ops in AMBA including Drinagh Co-op, Dairygold Agribusiness, and Barryroe Co-op.
They also join other well-known merchant names such as HPC (Home Project Centre), Ganly’s Hardware, MD O’Shea & Sons, Morris’s Builders Providers & DIY, Stakelums Home & Hardware, Grahams of Monaghan, Joyces Hardware & Home, BJ Mullen, and Plumbing Merchants Walsh’s, Hurst’s, McDaids, PJ Nolans, Donegal Plumbing & Heating and Décor merchants including Limerick Paints, NC Paint & Décor and Terry Kelly Wallpaper & Paints.
