544 tonnes of straw baled in 17 hours by Big Baler 1290 Plus

A baling challenge in July, in France, resulted in New Holland’s new Big Baler 1290 Plus with a T7 Heavy Duty tractor making 1,254 high quality square straw bales in 17 hours, over two days.

It maintained a consistent bale shape, averaging 434 kg, and length averaged 2.37 metres.

The LAMMA 2017 machinery show at Peterborough in England on January 18 and 19 will introduce the baler to UK farmers, along with New Holland’s Roll Baler 125 and Roll Baler 125 Combi.
