The country’s biggest two day agricultural show in Charleville will feature an attempt this weekend to set a new Guinness world record for sheaf tossing.

The sheaf toss, which dates back to the Medieval Ages as a farming competition, will take place at 2 pm on Sunday.

It will be one of the novelty highlights of the 37th annual show, which will be officially opened at 1 pm on Saturday by Agriculture Minister Michael Creed.
