Teagasc's ConnectEd programme to transfer knowledge for professionals and businesses
Teagasc ConnectEd will see Teagasc working closely with industry stakeholders and agri-related businesses to develop knowledge transfer programmes for their specific needs.
Teagasc director Gerry Boyle said: “The Teagasc ConnectEd programme was born from the need to enhance knowledge resources to services and professionals that support the agri-food sector.
“The dissemination and importantly the application, of knowledge at all levels within the agri-food sector will be crucial if we are to achieve targets set out in the FoodWise 2025 strategy.”
Rob Peters, head of research and innovation, DG Agriculture and Rural Development, said the programme fits well with the underlying philosophy of the European Innovation Partnership for agriculture.
Mark Gibson, Teagasc ConnectEd programme manager, said: “The programme seeks to leverage Teagasc’s extensive knowledge base. Businesses can join ConnectEd and benefit from Ireland’s largest agri-food knowledge base.”
