Giving new life to water

The Irish-developed Vi-Aqua technology to provide water with electromagnetic energy has high-profile users such as the K Club Golf course, several English premiership football clubs and international stadia, including the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen. Launched over a decade ago, it got early recognition from Kew Royal Botanic Gardens.

A three-year endorsement agreement was set up by Kew Enterprise initially with Vi-Aqua Limited in 2003 to allow the Kew logo be used in connection with Vi-Aqua.

Water is energised to facilitate the metabolism of organisms, improving the uptake of nutrients and the chemical interactions that normally occur in nature.

Vi-Aqua is a patented technology, scientifically proven to produce results in all sectors of agriculture, particularly in the production of fruit, vegetables and livestock.

Developed by Professor Austin Darragh and Dr JJ Leahy of Limerick University’s Department of Chemistry and Environmental Science, the eco-friendly technology uses nothing except the natural elements of sunlight, water, carbon dioxide in the air and the minerals in the soil.

In plants, it can increase the immune system for better root activity and photosynthesis, therefore increasing the absorption of CO2 from the air.

In animals, it can sanitise the immune system, enhancing metabolism efficiency, consequently controlling the intestinal fermentation and reducing the production of methane and ammonia.
