Development land with farm potential
Up for auction on November 16 through David Costelloe of Costelloe Auctioneers, it is a 13-acre parcel of grazing land at Knocknacur, Doneraile, which comes with low density residential zoning.
The land includes approximately two acres with frontage onto the Mallow road, which has low density zoning. Set behind high estate walls, it could provide the setting for a nice, one-off house, he says.
Connected to it in an L-shape is the rest of the land, in one 11-acre field which is top quality farmland, he says, and would also suit horses.
The 13 acres could be ideal for a hobby farmer, with house planning permission already in place — but buyers at this level are rare on the ground at the moment. However, the guideline price is reasonable — Costelloe’s pre-auction figure is €100,000. And the sale of sites could support the purchase of the land, if it is bought in the entire. Or it is likely to be purchased as a addition to an existing farm.
The property is just 300m from Doneraile, on the south side of the Mallow road.
