Bids up to the guide price of €600,000 lodged for Tuagh property
The 37.39-acre residential farm is two miles from the heritage village and that’s probably part of the reason for a strong response.
Some of the biggest houses in Limerick, if not the country, are clustered around Adare — christened Limerick 4 — an attractive area within a short commute of the city.
A ripe conversion project, this farm includes a rather stately two-storey farmhouse, built about 60 years ago along period lines.
The roof is sound and internal features are perfect.
Shrouded in woodland, the house sits in the middle of the farm, which is in pasture, having been rented out for grazing.
The property’s potential hasn’t gone unnoticed, and there have been bids up to the guide price of e600,000, says Maurice Stack of DNG Stack.
It has excellent road frontage on two sides and the soil is limestone based in parts, ideal for horses.
nThe impending sale of the Tuagh farmhouse follows a successful disposal of a nine-acre holding in the most salubrious area of Adare, at Clonshire, which made e400,000 through private treaty with DNG Stack. That e44,000-plus per acre price underlines the demand for any Adare property.
