Lackareigh, Lissarda, Co Cork, should appeal to farmers and residential buyers because of its location.

A 72-ACRE farm is up for auction in early May and the residential holding should draw in the business buyer, as well as the farmer.

The property, at Lackareigh, Lissarda, Co Cork, comes with a traditional farmhouse in need of TLC and farm buildings in fairly good repair.

The main draw of the property for non-farmers is its location off the N22, within commutable distance of Cork city.

It’s also in the disadvantaged area, says JJ Hichion of Sherry FitzGerald Hinchion.

The auction takes place on May 12 at the Castle Hotel and the guide price is in the region of €12,000 per acre plus.
