Closing date for agri-courses looms
The courses, which commence in September in six agricultural colleges and three horticultural colleges, are all nationally accredited by the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC).
Paddy Browne, Head of Training with Teagasc, said the courses provide ideal training for people opting for careers in farming, food horticulture, landscape horticulture, organic food production, forestry, horses and in the agri-food industry.
Another attraction is the chance to progress to third level courses. He added a large number of Teagasc training participants come from non-farming and urban backgrounds.
