Tipp horses tops at Horse Show
The Premier county’s equestrian artist Peter Curling and his wife, Louise, own Hochmagandy, which gave Frances Cash her seventh RDS hunter championship.
So far this year, Tipperary-bred horses have won six international events in show jumping and eventing. Co Clare, which also bred six international winners this year, also enjoyed major success at the show.
Eighteen-year-old John Hayes, Cranny, Kilrush, won the young horse championship with Playboy, a two-year-old chestnut gelding bred by Ann Leamy, Ballylar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.
His father, John Hayes, found the horse for his son, who opted for the two-week-old foal rather than a motor bike for his 16th birthday.
