It has been reported that the Italian Prime Minister’s one million euro a month jet is ‘grounded because no one is qualified to fly it.
Considering that humus rich soil ties up three times more CO2 than woodland wouldn’t it be better to promote organic farming which enhances the humus in our soils than declaring that CO2 targets cannot be reached?
Your article (Irish Examiner, December 5) prompts me to join the hundreds of Corkonians in remembering with nostalgia that night of December 12 1955, when our beloved Opera House burned.
