Deadpool director's cut isn't a thing

Deadpool director Tim Miller has said that he's totally happy with the version in cinemas and we wont get a double dip

Deadpool is eviscerating the competition at the box office, already becoming one of the biggest comic book movies of all time as it nears $300 million worldwide after just 5 days on release. That's quite something, and we're delighted this highly entertaining but extremely weird action flick is getting the attention it deserves.

Actor T.J. Miller mentioned in an interview recently that there could be a director's cut of the film towards the end of the year which would feature even more off colour jokes and material which was too 'raw' for the theatrical release but it seems that isn't the case. Director Tim Miller (no relation) confirms that he's really happy with the version in cinemas now and won't be assembling another cut to help sell some DVDs and blu rays.

This is good news for consumers who won't have to fear the dreaded double dip and it's a note which is great to hear for a filmmaker as well, suggesting the studio didn't force him to remove anything he was too attached to. It does seem all but certain that there will be deleted material on the disk, and we should expect plenty of alternative takes from T.J. Miller and star Ryan Reynolds who have a real knack for nasty adlibs. There might even be more action and maybe a glimpse at the content which was cut for budget reasons, including a larger scale final action sequence.
