Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 beta begins next week

Popcap Vancouver today announced that the Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 multiplayer beta will bloom on January 14th.

The multiplayer beta will run until January 18th on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’ll give players a chance to try out the game for themselves ahead of its release on February 25th.

The multiplayer beta will get you limited access to Backyard Battleground, which is described as a dynamic environment that connects you with all the maps and modes, six new playable characters, a range of classic and new game modes, and four new maps.

Creative Director, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2, Justin Wiebe, said that the team is excited for fans to get to try the game. “This game builds on the crazy fun people loved about the original and adds tons of new ways to play. We can’t wait for people to jump in and start having fun.”

The beta will be available to download from the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network Store on January 14th.
