Lego Avengers game will draw from six massive Marvel movies

Upcoming video game Lego Avengers will have a lot of story material to draw from, covering movies for the last five years

Lego Marvel Avengers is a big mashup of a game letting you step into the role of this superhero team in Lego form to go out and do good through the storylines of some of the biggest films of the last half decade. And it seems there will be a lot of plot to go around, as the game draws from six major Marvel movies.

The Avengers

Iron Man 3

Thor The Dark World

Captain America The Winter Soldier

Avengers Age of Ultron

That's some of the biggest and best in the franchise so far, as well as Thor The Dark World which I pretty much forgot all about the minute it was over. Thor really does get second string entries in the Marvel-verse. Check out some of the movie inspired action here.

We're assuming that this is otherwise going to be another Lego game, and they can be fun in a fairly limited way with the bashing and the creating and the... more bashing. The cutscenes are entertaining and the licenses the company has to work with these days are all very impressive.

Lego Marvel's Avengers is coming to all the consoles and PC on the 26th of January 2016.
