HTC might drop 'One' moniker
This might inject new life into HTC’s handset range, but it could cause some headaches too. The O2 moniker is likely to run into difficulties in Ireland and the UK where O2 is known primarily as a mobile network operator.
The HTC O2’s specs have also been rumoured. The handset is tipped to come with a 6-inch QHD display. It may use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset, though that processor isn’t expected until next year, while the O2 is suggested to arrive later this year.
The HTC O2 is also said to have 4GB of RAM, 64GB and 128GB storage options and a 3,500mAh battery. It will also come with a waterproof and dust-proof chassis.
HTC could release the O2 as early as the end of October this year.
