Point Break remake trailer is fantastically silly

Ah the 90s - when hair was big and it was still ok to have action films with actual blood and swearing in them.

Point Break remake trailer is fantastically silly

For example, 1991's Point Break - a ferociously male testosterone fest, despite being directed by now Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow. In it, Keanu Reeves went undercover to join a group of surfing and skydiving bank robbers led by the charasmatic Patrick Swayze. It had awfully cheesy dialogue, a scenery chewing Gary Busey and some gritty and gnarly action. It's pretty awesome. So naturally its being remade. The new take on Point Break has been in the works for awhile, with cast and crew coming and coming including Gerard Butler who was first mooted to play the Swayze role of Bodhi. The final cast put Edgar Ramirez (Zero Dark Thirty) in his place and young Aussie Luke Bracey (Home and Away) takes on the role of Johnny Utah. He's a cop, they're criminals and the first trailer is here. Stick around for comments after the video.
