Nintendo will feature at Universal theme parks
The gaming industry veteran signed a deal with Universal to feature its characters in a range of “immersive experiences." Nintendo said that this deal will see the creation of “spectacular, dedicated experiences based on Nintendo's wildly popular games, characters and worlds."We may be able to enjoy wandering around Luigi’s Mansion in real life, taking to the track in actual karts from the popular Mario Kart series, or riding rollercoasters based on Nintendo’s franchises. There’s certainly plenty of scope.Unfortunately, neither Nintendo nor Universal shared any concepts or timelines. We’re not sure when Nintendo’s presence will be seen in Universal theme parks, but at least Nintendo is making good on its promise to expand the reach of its valuable character franchises.Universal currently operates theme parks in Los Angeles, Orlando, Osaka, and Singapore. It is building new theme parks in Moscow and Beijing.
