Japanese Film Festival brings 18 films to 7 cities across Ireland in April
It's a collaboration between the Embassy of Japan, access>CINEMA and the Ireland Japan Association and kicks off in Limerick on the 8th of April before touring to Sligo, Galway, Cock, Dublin, Waterford and Dundalk. Most of the films are Irish premieres and there's a mix of live-action and animation which become a hallmark of the festival. There are classics and brand new films, and you can see the full list on the JFF site.A few highlights include The Light Shines Only There (which was Japan's official submission to the Oscars for 2015), futuristic anime Time of Eve and Tokyo Tribe - which is a rap musical set in a zany stylised Tokyo.
