A new exhibition in Dublin underlines how important manga has been in bringing Japanese culture to the wider world, writes Don O’Mahony.

The Japanese Film Festival is over for another year, with the 2015 fest touring seven cities around the country for the first time.

The Japanese Film Festival returns to Ireland in 2015. Now in its seventh year, the festival is all about bringing the best of Japanese cinema to Irish audiences, and this year will be presenting 18 films at venues in seven cities around the country.

The fifth Japanese Film Festival opens tonight at the Light House Cinema in Dublin, before going nationwide.
