A group aiming to set up Cork's first cohousing community will hold a public Information meeting at Cork Constitution in Ballinlough on Wednesday as they source sites for its first national development.

The meeting takes place as Cohousing Communities Ireland (CCI) is undertaking a Cork land audit as it seeks to provide cohousing developments for people over 50s in Ireland. The audit is looking at landbanks owned by local authorities, religious bodies, and other major institutions in Cork that may be available to address what Cohousing Communities Ireland calls Ireland's "housing policy blind spot" for older citizens.
