IDA chief forecasts continued growth for investment projects

Investment in the second half of this year should match the first half, IDA chief executive Michael Lohan has said in an interview. 

Strong growth in investment in Ireland by foreign multinationals in 2023 is set to continue for the rest of the year, creating more jobs, the head of the IDA has said. 

Ireland secured 139 investments with the potential to create 12,000 jobs from January to June, the IDA said in July. That was down on a record 2022 but still at the pre-pandemic levels that boosted employment in a vital part of the economy.
