Law firm Bird & Bird has boosted its Irish tax practice with the appointment of Pearse Walsh as legal director, based in Dublin.

Pearse brings 10 years of experience with law firm Matheson, advising domestic and multinational corporate clients across a broad range of tax matters, including income tax, corporation tax, R&D tax credits and cross-border transactional planning.

Pearse’s experience will add to Bird & Bird’s strengths across corporate and M&A, intellectual property, employment, data protection, and tech and comms.

Bird & Bird has built a multidisciplinary team in Ireland serving clients being transformed by technology, innovation and a complex regulatory environment. Pearse will add to the Dublin team’s ability to support clients across these interconnected areas.

 Pearse’s appointment adds dedicated tax capability, enabling it to provide clients with comprehensive support across domestic and cross-border matters.
